It’s been almost 4 years since Shakira last released a new album or any new music period. For her big comeback, Shak has enlisted Urban sensation Rihanna to help her out on a new tune titled “Can’t Remember To Forget You”. The song tells a story about a girl who can’t get her ex-lover out of her head. With some Island inspired beats, is this duet what you wanted from two pop divas? Take a listen below…

Starting off with a laid-back guitar rift, Shakira uses her breathy vocals to express her feelings about this man she just can’t remember to forget. Rihanna joins in on the second verse with her island-y rasta inspired vocals to give a more spicy point of view. Together, these two pop divas serve attitude and drama in this song.

Rihanna is currently topping the charts with her hit song with Eminem “The Monster”. Her last album “Unapologetic” was released back in November 2012. She just completed a world tour in support of that album, and she is now taking some time off to record new material for a new project as well as guest spots on other artists music.

This is Shakira’s first song in almost 3 years. Her last album “Sale El Sol” was released in October 2010. She also completed a successful stint on the hit television show “The Voice” last spring, and she is slated to come back to the show this upcoming season. Shakira’s new album, which is untitled at the moment is expected to hit stores on March 25th. She is also the February cover girl of “Glamour” magazine.
